Who Are We?
The short answer: A collection of folks who started a gym.
The longer answer: We’re a group of friends who met through a shared love of fitness and happened to decide we like each other alright, too. We were dissatisfied with the way most gyms tend to be run with management seemingly not caring about their clients and just doing the bare minimum to keep people on the books. We became frustrated with lack of communication and feeling like we, as paying members, were at the whims of people we never actually saw on a day to day basis.
So we gathered some ideas and scraped together some money and decided to start our own spot where we could build something we all loved, collectively.

Commitment to Inclusivity
We strive to reduce barriers to entry, offering diverse class schedules, movement variations for all skill levels, and scaled pricing options. Our doors are open to everyone, regardless of their background or experience level.

Collective Governance
Gym decisions—from the equipment we buy to the classes we offer—are made together, with input from members, staff, and stakeholders. 50% of net income is reinvested into the collective, improving services and facilities.

Community-First
Beyond the weights and workout mats, we’re deeply committed to fostering a sense of community. We host weekly free workouts, fundraisers, volunteer opportunities, and gatherings that extend the boundaries of traditional fitness spaces.

What sets us apart?
There is no mysterious “owner” of PSC that you never encounter. We’re a member-owned collective made up of people you’ll see every day in classes. We each come from different backgrounds and bring diverse experiences and abilities to the table, but the thing that unites us is wanting to feel like we have a voice in the space we all view as our second home.
And we want to welcome more folks into this space to be able to experience what it feels like to workout in a supportive environment. As we grow, there will be opportunities for general members to have their voices heard through votes and elections because anyone who walks through our doors and commits their time deserves to have a say.
It’s an experiment for sure, but one that we’re confident will bring positive, holistic results.
