What is Foundations?
We require all members new to functional fitness / barbell work to complete our Foundations program, to ensure a smooth transition into our regular group classes.
Whether you choose Group Foundations or Personal Foundations, the overall curriculum is the same.
Experienced athletes (ex: folks coming from a CrossFit™ or similar background) are welcome to contact us about completing our foundations checklist with a coach and jump straight into our group classes.
Bodyweight
Squats, push-ups, burpees, tap swings, pull-ups, etc.
Conditioning
Wallballs, rowing, kettlebell swings, etc.
Barbell
Push press, row, front and back squats, deadlift, etc.
Olympic Weightlifting
Snatch, Clean and Jerk

Please note: there is no expected level of fitness or ability when stepping through our doors and Foundations is no exception. This program is designed to get you acclimated with the movements used in classes, but scaling and modifications are always available.
